Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for funding from the MIRP Fund, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Valid Government Contract: The applicant must possess a valid and legally binding contract with the Government of Ghana or a recognized government agency for a project within Ghana.
  • Financial Stability: The applicant must demonstrate a sound financial standing with a proven track record of successful project delivery. This will be assessed through audited financial statements and other relevant financial documentation.
  • Project Feasibility: The proposed project must be technically sound, economically viable, and environmentally and socially sustainable. A comprehensive project proposal demonstrating feasibility is required.
  • Legal Compliance: The applicant must be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in Ghana.
  • Experience and Capacity: The applicant must demonstrate the necessary experience, capacity, and resources to successfully undertake and complete the proposed project.

Application Process

 The application process for funding from the MIRP Fund consists of the following steps:

  • Download Application Package: Download the complete application package, including the application form and detailed guidelines, from the link provided below.
  • Prepare Application: Carefully review the application guidelines and complete the application form accurately. Gather all required supporting documentation.
  • Submit Application: Submit the completed application form and all supporting documents electronically to request@themirpfund.com or deliver a hard copy to our office address: Hallmark House, East Legon, Accra.
  • Initial Screening: The MIRP Fund team will conduct an initial screening of your application to ensure it meets the basic eligibility criteria.
  • Project Evaluation: Eligible applications will proceed to a detailed project evaluation phase. This will involve a comprehensive assessment of the project’s technical, financial, environmental, and social aspects.
  • Due Diligence: The MIRP Fund will conduct due diligence on the applicant company to verify the information provided and assess its capacity and track record.
  • Investment Decision: Based on the project evaluation and due diligence findings, the MIRP Fund’s investment committee will make a final decision on funding approval.
  • Contract Negotiation and Disbursement: If approved, the MIRP Fund will negotiate the terms and conditions of the financing agreement with the applicant. Upon agreement, funds will be disbursed according to the agreed-upon schedule.
